How Do I Check My Client's Status?

IRS Acknowledgements are automatically received for the client. Client Status will display the acknowledgement date and time. If the return gets rejected by the IRS, it will show the reason a Federal or State return was rejected. It also shows the Return Access History, which will display the last date and time the return was opened. It shows Return Information, like Filing Status, AGI, Refund/Amount Due, & Return Type. This is good to check if you need a quick update, or believe the return information was changed from what was originally filed. 

There are two ways to access Client Status.

Client Status Menu
From the program Main Menu (WELCOME page):

  • Click Client Status, located on the left-hand side of the page
  • Click on the 'i' icon next to the taxpayer's name

 OR

Client Search
From the program Main Menu (WELCOME page):

  • Click Select next to Client Search
  • Locate the taxpayer's name
  • Click the drop-down arrow next to Tools
  • Choose Client Status
